Xuejun Xie received his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics from Beijing Institute of Technology. During his undergraduate years, he was the recipient of National Students Innovation Project Funding on "Carbon based graphene capacitor", the Beijing Students Innovation Project Funding on "3D PCB Printer", as well as the “T-more” scholarship for his outstanding academic potential. During his undergraduate years, he was associated with the Key Laboratory of Cluster Science in Beijing Institute of Technology for two years as one of the founding members in Prof. Liangti Qu’s group, which emphasized on dynamic micrometer measurements and CVD graphene fabrication. In Fall 2011, he joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of California Santa Barbara as a PhD student in the Nanoelectronics Research Lab (NRL) under the supervision of Prof. Kaustav Banerjee. His current research is focused on graphene physics, fabrication and application.
