Aaron Kim

Aaron (Dohyung) Kim was born and raised in Seoul, Korea. He earned his BSc in Electronic Eng-ineering at Kwangwoon University, Seoul, Korea, where he studied Electronic IC design using various EDA tools such as SPICEs and Cadence. He was also interested in emerging technologies such as Photonics IC and worked on optical phased array for his undergrad thesis. In Fall 2023, he started a Master program at the University of California – Santa Barbara and joined Prof. Banerjee’s Nanoelectronics Research Lab (NRL). Under Banerjee’s exceptional instruction, he focuses on 'Photonic IC with 2D layered material' and ‘Backend design of Electronic-Photonic IC’.
