Kamyar was born in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province, Iran. He received his B.Sc. degree in Engineering Science - Electronics with a minor in computational sciences at University of Tehran, Iran in 2017 during which he was recognized as 1st place recipient of "F.O.E" (Faculty of Engineering) Award for two consecutive years. Kamyar studied the design and control of MEMs actuators for his undergraduate thesis and was a undergraduate researcher at Brodarski Institute, Zagreb, Croatia, in Summer of 2016. In Spring 2018 he joined Prof. Banerjee’s Nanoelectronics Laboratory in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at University of California, Santa Barbara as Graduate student. His research lies in exploration and engineering of Quantum Materials for novel energy convertors and beyond CMOS electronic devices.
