Yasin Khatami joined the Electrical Engineering Department at Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, as a B.Sc. student after receiving his diploma from Sampad School in Tabriz, Iran. He was awarded a fellowship from the Iranian Oil Company for his undergraduate study, and received his B.Sc. degree in both Electrical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering in 2005. From 2005 to 2007 he was a graduate student at Sharif University, working on superconducting systems and received his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2007. In Fall 2007, he joined the Nanoelectronics Research Laboratory in University of California, Santa Barbara, and worked toward his PhD degree. His research was focused on the modeling, design and fabrication of sub-kT/q devices and circuits using novel materials. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Summer 2013.
